We’re Adrian and Jackie, the husband-and-wife team behind Meadowside Café in the beautiful village of Dent.

Jackie has worked in hospitality since 1987, with over 30 years of barista / hospality experience. After managing teams at Pret A Manger and Café Nero, she brought her passion for quality coffee to Dent.

We proudly serve Lorenzo coffee beans from Coffee Care Skipton, using a traditional Italian espresso machine – the only one of its kind in the village.

Adrian is a professionally trained chef with over 40 years of experience, holding multiple culinary and patisserie qualifications. His career spans major food brands and international development roles. At Meadowside, everything is homemade to a high standard, with a focus on quality ingredients and seasonal flavours.

We met as friends in 1989, fell in love in 2009, and married in Umbria, Italy in 2015.

In 2019 we took a leap of faith, we followed our dreams and purchased Meadowside Café – to create a warm, welcoming space where passion, food, and great coffee come together.

It’s a place where locals gather, walkers rest, and visitors experience authentic hospitality in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
